Invisalign is the clear alternative for those not wanting braces. Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, removable, clear trays. The trays fit over attachments which are bonded to the teeth. Each aligner is changed every 2 weeks.

Aligners have some benefits over braces in that they can be removed for cleaning your teeth and eating but they need to be worn for a minimum of 20-22 hours a day for treatment to be successful. There are certain clinical situations which are aligners are preferable and there are other cases that are more suited to braces.
